What Just Happened?

*This blog post took four days to write, so please excuse the mistakes. I wrote everything as 'today', so I've tried to fix most of it. I hope you like this. It's been an eventful time.*

I went riding on Thursday night! Fancy was wonderful (except for the lunging part) and I worked her into a full on sweat! My bum may be sore, but it is so worth it! Especially when you get to ride behind the tractor in the freshly plowed dirt! I also practiced soccer on Fancy. Yeah, that's right! We play soccer on our horses! Fancy kicks the ball, and I steer it! It's basically the coolest thing ever.

After horse, I was given the responsibility of closing down the arena.

I had finished riding at about 8:45 (around the time that Shauna left, leaving me all alone). Shauna told me to close the gate, turn off the lights, and basically shut everything down. I had no problem with this, seeing as how my parents would pick me up at 9. So, I closed everything, turned off all but one of the lights, closed the doors, and closed the garage. It was about 9:02, so I just sat with the barn cat on my lap and played with it. Well, my parents did not come at 9:00. Their movie was longer than expected, so it was just me and the one-eyed cat for 50 minutes. You may think that this is no time at all, but when you are all alone in a cold, dark barn... it gets to feel like 3  hours. I was SUPRA bored, so I decided that I would do a little exploring, because I haven't explored at the barn in a while.

Where is the best place to explore at the barn? You guessed it, the little place above the tack room! There is literally 1/2 inch of dirt/dust on everything up there. I wrote my name in the dust, found two sinks, and made a ginormous dust cloud. Dust clouds are not good ideas. Actually, it was a terrible idea. I started to sweep off piles of dust onto the ground and I filled the whole arena with dirt! it looked so cool until I realized that it is hard to breathe when there is dirt filling your lungs. This was about 3/4 of the way through my 50 minutes, so I spent the rest of the time breathing through my sleeve.

It was the most adventurous night at the barn. I made a new cat friend and turned my clothes brown! I was rewarded with a Jamocha shake from Arby's for the wait. Best. Night. Ever.

Friday was the day of my adventure with Eliza and her grandma! I loved it so so so so much! We ate pomegranates, toured the house, played dress ups, watched 2 movies, wrote on a typewriter, and heard stories for every room of the house! The stories were the best part! I heard all about Crazy Grandma's family and history, along with stories about Sister McGill and all of Eliza's aunts/uncles. I found Eliza's baby pictures- she was the CUTEST baby! We turned on Toy Story 3 at about 11:00 to snuggle down for, but I fell asleep after about 15 minutes of it. I tried my first German pancakes, which I absolutely adored, and we further enhanced our package for Ali Ball. I loved that sleepover more than anything! I've never had such an adventure! REAL Best. Night. Ever.

(I'm still contemplating whether or not to put pictures on here... So far, the answer is no, but they may show up in a later post.)

Saturday was The Scarlet Pimpernel and Brooklyn's party. I very much enjoyed the play and I loved going with Eliza, Valeria, and the Melendi girls! The play was wondrous, and I loved the voices of all the characters- especially Armond! He could sing so nicely...

Brooklyn's party was so cool! It was set up as a carnival, which was the cutest thing ever! I walked there with Michael and had a blast! It was absolutely the funnest thing in some areas... Awkward in others... The party was grand, but I am not a fan of the coupling off that is going on. Take away that, and it was perfect! It turned into an awesome concert towards the time that I left with everyone playing the piano/maladica/guitar/vocal chords! It was so good! My friends really are so talented.

Sunday:
This morning I got an extra hour of sleep! Yippee! I love daylight savings for the first night. I was awaken at 8:00, but I fell back to sleep for another hour when I realized that it was unnecessary for me to get up! It has been a good Sunday so far. I had the most excellent lessons in Young Women's and Sunday School. I even cried. I loved it.

Thanks for listening. I appreciate it!

P.S.- Do you ever say something that came out wrong? When what you meant to say was completely different from what escaped your mouth and you wish you could go back and explain it, but it's too late? I hate that. Sorry if I've offended you in any way. I would never mean to. Also, when I talk about situations with Eliza, it's usually about something that you don't know about. Horrible = funny in our language.

That's it.
Appreciate the little things.
