How Random Can it Get?

Today we came home from church to find:

an Asian man riding a horse on our grass.

Seriously? This is the greatest random thing that has ever happened to me!

'Cause I'm Gangsta Like That...

The parents were out of town yesterday/last night/this morning, which means that Dani and I were left to fend for ourselves! (Well, it actually just turned into a party!)

Liza came over shortly after school and I made her dinner (delicious paninis on rosemary bread with brie, caramelized onions, and rotisserie chicken. I know, I'm a chef.). I also opened my birthday present from her! It was fabulous beyond belief. You know how there are some people that just get you? Lies is the one that gets me.

When we were finished with dinner, Ali came over from work and we partied it up! I read some of my best journal entries to them, scared Ali half to death, and showed them an absolutely hilarious magazine! I love having a friend named Ali. It's perfect! And isn't Ali just so lovely? I am honestly so so sad that I didn't know her well last year. She's a gem. Ali left around 10 because she had work this morning, but the party still continued!

Marissa came over because she is amazing and wanted to have a sleepover! Our energy was fading, so we decided to do something crazy and spontaneous! That is when the Justin Bieber music video happened. Eliza is now officially part of the family! Once you participate in a cousin video, there is no turning back. That music video made me especially sad to not have my Bieber hair anymore. I really do miss it.

Yes, I know. I am kind of strange... Please don't use these pictures as blackmail.

After everyone had left, it was just Marissa and I left. We had a sleepover in Megan's room (it's the cosiest bed in the house). We technically went to bed at about 12:30, but-as always- stayed up for about two more hours talking about fun stuff, boy stuff, and deep stuff. I do love talking with Mariss. She is such an angel  baby!

In the morning, we watched a bit of the petite version of America's Next Top Model (In the normal version, you cannot enter if you are under 5'7, but in this one there was a girl that was only 5'3!), ate some good stuff, and said our goodbyes to Marissa.

After Marissa left, it was all chores and Justin Bieber music. I love that combination! Then, I walked on over to Ben's house whilst eating a Cup O' Noodles. Cups O' Noodles are definitely not as tasty as I had hoped... It turned out that I was at Ben's house for a total of almost 7 hours! We had so much fun! We played with Toobers and Zots, hid in cupboards, listened to his amazing new guitar, laughed, laughed a bit more, fell asleep for the littlest bit, and had a wondrous time! Ben and Rachel are so great and funny! I seriously needed a play date.

After Ben's house, I went to Marissa's house. WHERE VICENTE, CATA, AND THE ENTIRE PEREZ FAMILY WERE WAITING!! I finally met Vicente. My Chilean friend that I have only talked to on Facebook, the phone, and once on Skype. I am seriously so so so happy that I can finally say that I have met the rest of the Perez family! (well, except for their oldest brother, Gonzalo.) I love their family so much! They are all so kind! I really like their dad, Pepe! When I was introduced to him, he already knew me! And he doesn't speak much English, but he said 'You're beautiful' and it made my day. We went to a stake dance in PG with Koto and Cata (Koto is Vicente's nickname), which was absolutely fantastic! They are not used to dancing like we dance, so we had to teach Vicente how to slow dance here and such. He was such a gentleman, his English was perfect, and he was such a fun person! (plus he was attractive and smelled good...) I just had the greatest time with them. They will be here for about two weeks and I am SO excited to get to know them better. They are so supra.

Now it is 12:17, so I am off to bed.

You Should Post on Your Blog.

I think that the blog fad is over for most people.

No one writes on their blogs anymore unless it is an assignment for a class or they are just all around cute. Also, more and more people are making their blogs only accessible by invitation through email. This is super disappointing, because not many people even have my email address which equals no one inviting me to read their blog. This especially applies to Megan and Marissa. You know who you are. I think that I should at least be able to read the blogs of my SISTER and my TWIN! Deary me.

I also love that my peeps that don't live here have blogs. I love to stay in touch with these people, even though it is only a one-way conversation to the whole Internet and I just happen to be one of the hundreds of people reading it.

I honestly had no plans for this post, and I am sure that is apparent because I just went off on another tangent. I really do tend to do that too often.

Thanks for staying with me. If I could see you right now (or even know who you are, because a lot of my views seem to come from foreign countries), I would give you a high five.

Spreen Fleen...

Spring Fling will probably be one of the best things ever. How do I know this you may ask. I know this because the way that I asked Blake took him and his dad an hour to figure out. This prediction was confirmed tonight when it took me an hour to find his answer!

Suspense and torture.

Beautiful Nights

I know that these pictures will never do that moon rising justice, but I tried...

It really was beautiful to see the moon rise from the clouds and light up the mountainous horizon.

I am not trying to be cheesey or anything, but those words just fit here.

There have also been some very lovely sunsets recently. I don't know what's going on, but everything just seems... more colorful and extravagant lately in nature. The sunsets are more vibrant, the moon seemed brighter, the sun is shining, and the wind is powerful.

On a different note...

I found three old memory cards two days ago. One contains pictures from the FIRST TIME THAT ELIZA AND I PLAYED! Others are from Costa Rica, Michael Buble, Arizona, Lake Powell, first stake dance, cousins, etc. I'll show you a few soon. maybe a few right now...

G'night

Alfie and Crossed Eyes

On Friday, February 11, 2011 Ally went on her first date!

I asked on my first date. Weird, right? Well, it was still super fun!

I went with Devin Frampton to Communal (a super tasty (but pricey) restaurant with super nice waiters who are my friends! Seriously. Edgar is my favourite one) and then to Comedy Sportz in Provo. We went with my sister, Megan, her date, Evan, my cousin, Marissa, and her date Zach. My two cousins Kaimii and Janessa also joined us for dinner.

I had some super good mole braised chicken (did you think it was mole as in the animal or freckle-like thing? I did... It wasn't. It is a spice that is said with two syllables. mo-lay) and everyone shared everything. The menu changes every few weeks at Communal, and it was definitely one of the better menus this time.

After Communal, we walked to Comedy Sportz where I am pretty sure I laughed my way to a six pack! Matt Clayton was Mr. Voice, which was hilarious and the players were extremely comedic! It is one of those things that you just had to be there for. I wish I could tell you all of the jokes! You would probably think that I was insane, though... But hey, what's new?

After all of this, we went to Zach's house where we met his pet quail, Alfie. It was the coolest, softest, POTTY TRAINED quail in the world.

On Saturday, February 12, 2011 Ally went on her second date!

I went to Sweethearts with Ben! It was so fun!

We ate at the Goffs with our hands handcuffed together, took pictures (many of which contain Ben and I with crossed eyes) and played 'Minute to Win It'.  I am so disappointed that I had never heard of this game, because it was such an adventure!

Next came the dance. Oh, deary! It was so good! there were not many people there, and Ben put my dance moves to shame with his wonderful grooviness, but I had the time of my life! We had an amazing group of gentlemen and some seriously funny ladies.

I probably did not stop laughing the whole night! (in my really embarrassing laugh that goes from high to low). It was great! Also, I am pretty sure that the lispy buss voice has never been that stupendous! (please say that last sentence in the voice! It sounds perfect!)

I am so happy that I was asked by Ben! I am pretty sure that there is no one better to go to a first school dance with!

Do something cute tomorrow.
Valentine's Day is not a holiday to ignore.

Love,
    Ally

P.S. Go read "To My Wife"

Best. Weekend. Ever.

I don't even have time to explain tonight, because I am exhausted.

It was a good one, though!

I'll tell you all about it when I am not falling asleep on the keyboard.

Laurels

I went to Laurels tonight, where we made truffles for Valentine's Day at Sister Hobson's house. It was so very fun and I love the Hobsons! They are the cutest couple and their house is gorgeous! Well, I befriended her daughter, who is the mom of a well-known senior at my school. She was very very nice and I had a lot of fun with her. I had to leave early because Michael was home with her gravelly voice (she had her adenoids out on Thursday), so my mom asked if we could take a few truffles home. My new friend said "If your daughter goes on a date with my son, she can take however many she wants!" Baha! I honestly don't know why I always seem to connect with adults more than people my age. But, now I have a new friend and some deliciousness on my taste buds!

(500) Days of Summer

If you have not seen this movie, I highly recommend it (though only with a little help from ClearPlay).

It is so cute and I love it! And I'm pretty sure that whoever came up with the idea of "boy meets girl, but not a love story" is brilliant!

Also, If you are ever in need of some happiness, listen to "You Make My Dreams" by Hall and Oats. It is the only thing that kept me alive while running the mile today in P.E.
