First, I must apologize for my absence. I don't know where time went! I've just either been too busy, or too boring to write here.
Sometimes I sit and think about the future. I haven't been doing that lately, though. I have been thinking about the present. I've been thinking about what I am doing, what you might be doing, and why I am smiling. I really do like it.
I have also developed the habit of smiling at myself every morning when I get up. I don't care if I look like a beast, I still smile and tell myself that I have a beautiful smile.
That's pretty happy.
This week was a good one. Sure, there was the usual stress, but it seemed to not matter that much. I didn't care that I had two tests. I just looked forward to the bus ride home and a nice nap! (a.k.a. the best two things of a boring day)
Also, I had a wonderful time at Emilee's birthday party last night! I laughed, cried, danced, fell asleep, and about fainted from trying to hold in terrified screams about a girl crawling on me and being... yeah. Sad thing is, she didn't realize that I was creeped because she is blond and her mom will be mad at her if she doesn't get her an expensive birthday present. Wow.
There's really nothing else to write, so here are some pictures:
This is Nik Day:
He has a beautiful voice, he's LDS, and I now own his C.D.
I've officially decided as of today that I want "So I Will" to be sung to me constantly. I love it.
A manly cowboy came up to me and said, "S'cuse me, ma'am. Could you please watch my hat for me and make sure nobody steals it?" Then went off to ride a bull. I kept his hat safe.
Today I went again to see Tangled with some great buddies. Eliza sang along to every song and almost fainted in the boat scene when Flynn Rider pushes the satchel away and said "I think I'm starting to". Wonderful movie. Wonderful characters. Why can't Flynn Rider be real?
I am currently reading Harry Potter 4. I read two books in two weeks plus Huckleberry Finn for English. (Huck Finn comes in second to Harry, of course!)
I have become addicted to Modern Family this week. I have watched all of season 1 now.
I sat on the floor with Eliza and talked for quite a while about nothing in particular while you guys were at Preference. I don't think I missed anything! Nothing beats talking.
Well, now I am no longer 15!
I don't think that I will feel much older until I go on a date or get my license in March or something, but I do feel good! I also feel that this year will be quite the adventure! I've got a date planned, because my cousin wanted to go on a date with her cousins before she goes on her mission. I am super pumped and I cannot wait! I asked Ben, which means it will obviously be the best!
Yesterday I went over to Ali's house to paint invitations for my birthday party on the 21st of January. My birthday is on the 23rd, but Preference is on the 22nd, so we planned it for the Friday before. I spent so much time on those little boxes and I was really excited to give them out as invitations. Well, Ali's mom "left", so we had to leave and go to my house. Eliza and I hopped into the car and Ali drove us to my house, where there were a few cars parked in front of it. I thought nothing of this, because I recognized the cars as Megan's friends. We went inside and watched a bit of Modern Family and found out that Audrey Lee is going to be engaged soon! Then my dad opened the fridge and said, "Ally, will you go get some milk? We're out." and Ali said "Yeah! And we can grab some of your paints to bring back to my house!" So, I obviously was an obedient girl and went down to get milk. Eliza and Ali came along because we were going to grab paints too. I walked straight into the craft room to show some paints without remembering the milk. Liza reminded me, and I went into the theater. Little did I know, my friends were all waiting for me in the dark!
A few of my friends with birthday messages. I have such good friends! Thank you all.

KEYS!!!
This is my new little babus!
(So far we only have a middle name (Horace)... I am open to suggestions for a full name!)
(He's an off-white '97 4-Runner!)
He has a sweet radio system, a bent antenna that moves up and down, a sun roof, a carpeted interior, and an overall great personality! He enjoys parking, he loves his mommy, and he is a gentleman.
(I vow to not freak out if you accidentally drop a Sharpie, spill crumbs, or drool on the comfy seats. It is just a car. I am not encouraging this behaviour in any way, though!)
I think that I will have some grand adventures with this young man!
Thank you for an exciting night and a wonderful surprise!
I have been talking about how cute they are and how someday, I wish to live a life similar to hers, and now I know I love her! She wears Old Spice man deodorant! (I do too and it is my favourite thing in this world!)
They are also LDS. And they go on cute dates. And there is a baby coming. And I love their bulldog.
(my goal is to see how many hyperlinks I can do in this post)
Today started out as a bad-mediocre day, but quickly changed course at about 2.
The day started with me burning my toasted rolls. They were 100% black and smokey.
It got better, though!
2 is when Marissa, London, Collin, and Janessa came over, I took a walk down memory lane, I listened to a drawer full of cassettes (of which Tears For Fears was my favourite), I played massage therapist and ended up putting my twin to sleep and falling asleep myself, and worked on my book.
7 is when Michael made dinner, I finished the 6th page of the book I am making, Alyssa and Valeria came over, Eliza came over, I watched The 5 Children and It, made granola with my mom and Eliza, went on a walk 3 times around the round-about (we really did 7 because Ali told us to be rebellious), we ran into Ali and the Goffs (super funny story), wrote a few funny things in our funny book, and made a birthday invitation list!
Isn't that grand?! I give you permission to be jealous of my night...
Horace, you're becoming eccentric!

And this is James Dean:
He was a rebel.
(and the most random person I could think of to place here)
(Said in a shrill voice while acting like a wizard)
My family + Valeria + Eliza went out to Communal and Comedy Sportz tonight! It was probably the best possible way to spend my Friday.
I honestly needed that laugh after staying for hours after school in Taylor's room for the Spanish test with Eliza. When we had finished and were satisfied with our answers, we got a ride home from a certain 15th ward boy that I do not really know too well. It turned out to be awful. We almost died. He was speeding, spinning, skidding, and sliding all the way to Eliza's house. He made an awful turn on purpose that sent us sliding madly out of control. He then proceeded to over correct the sliding about 7 times, just to make it even more terrible. I seriously hated that. I vow to never be a maniac driver.
The players at Comedy Sportz tonight were hilarious! No one said or did anything inappropriate, and it was genuine humor. Mr. Reynolds was playing tonight and he acted out "never give gum to a wizard", which was one of the best things of the night! (that's where the quote at the top of this post comes from). He was tapping his fingers together and hunched into a wizard form while standing on a bench and saying "Give me the gum" in a shrill British accent. You had to be there.
Now I am home and Alyssa, Megan, and Michael have just kicked me out of Megan's room. I hate when they do exclusive things. Sometimes Megan and Michael team up against me. I also hate that.
Watch out for Snatchers.
-Ally
P.S.- I have really good friends that know me so well. I received a wondrous necklace with a bottle cap this afternoon that says "Same" on the front and "only don't touch my neck" on the inside. Seriously? It's so perfect I cannot even begin to fathom it! I love you guys. Thank you.
Don't you hate it when you think that it's going to be a wonderful day full of happy times and no stress, but in reality, it is one of the worst days ever? Yeah, me too. That is what happened today, my friends.
I thought that this day would be lovely. It wasn't. Well, the school part was awesome, but the homework was horrid and I am now more stressed than ever for my math test tomorrow. I have Ms. Pfeifer, which means that I don't learn all that much. She teaches the whole period and is very prepared, but it's her first year teaching and she doesn't know the way to teach me yet. That is why I am switching into Mr. Smith's class as soon as possible. I hear he's lovely and knows how to teach in the way that you need to learn. Math used to be logical, but now we are into all of these problems that I know for a fact we will never use in everyday life. When do you need to know functions and inverses of functions? Never. When will you need to know how to graph a function with the cubed root? Never. It's terrible and I am not too fond of that class. That is the reasoning behind this post's name. I am drowning in stress and am in desperate need of a breath. Hopefully I don't breathe while I am still in the murky depths, because that would equal death.
Alright, now that that is behind us, let's move on to joyful things.
I accidentally walked into the computer room to talk to my mom at just the right time. She was shopping for used trucks online! This is good news, people! There is a chance that I won't have to drive the Suburban everywhere! My parents are sort of talking to me about it and asking me about cars, looking at cars with me, etc. Our family is in need of a truck anyway, so my birthday/ license is the perfect excuse to get one! Oh deary me... I'm stoked.
I have just looked on my calendar to find that my birthday also happens to be National Handwriting Day! How come I've never known this before? That holiday just made my world happy!
You know how you can go onto websites to find out which song was the most popular on your birthday? Some get lucky with this and others don't. My sister Megan was born on 2-22-92 and the most popular song when she was born was "I'm Too Sexy". Mine on the other hand was 1-23-95 and the most popular song was called "Creep". That super stinks! I guess it didn't lie, though!
Here is a song that is not called "Creep".
I love this song and I LOVE Michael Bublé!
I love his Justin Beiber impression and he looks really nice with a little 5 o'clock shadow...
Too bad he's getting married in April...
Have a nice end of the term. I hope that your next semester is less stressful.
I love new years. It's a chance for you to start over and set new goals to reach. It is clearing your slate to start writing again. I feel that this year is going to be a good one. Possibly better than the last (though it will be pretty hard to beat 2010!).
I've set a lot of goals for this year. The biggest one would have to be to listen more and talk less. It will be hard, but I can learn a lot if I do it.
I feel that I will be less stressed this year (though that is almost impossible to see now, because of the end of the semester). I may be stressed to the point of crying tonight, but it will get better. I won't have so many demanding classes next semester... I think...
I'm going to go cuddle up with a hot pack and cry now.
